My task of the moment is getting my wife's Windoze computer to have our server show up as a shared device or device, like it does on our macs. So far I haven't figured out which rosetta stone I need to do this. I did it but don't ask me how. Not on a "server" but I can share files between the Mac and the Windows laptops via our home network. Took a while to get it working and I've forgotten all the steps. I got the Windoze machine "signed up" to access the server properly. The machine backs itself up to the server and always has, but there were two other folders on the server I wanted my wife to be able to reach for her iPods and for vids. |
