It depends on the loading curve of the pump and your engines hp curve.

It's a fun project but consider cooling and weight. Also thin aluminum

is a bitch to work with.

Oh it was just a passing thought. it's not going to happen. But I did think it would be an interesting project. I wasn't really worried about the load on a trash pump, but more concern was shrouding the engine for cooling.

BTW, in the 70's Guzzi used that same V-7 (750cc) engine on industrial cement mixers!!
