Sorry, not familiar with "Rose Hill Apartments," but apparently you are, so perhaps you will elucidate. Don't know what you mean by "tuners," either. But I see a lot of the cars to which I referred lined up heading north on Route 4 in the morning, waiting to turn into the high school parking lot. Maybe we don't have as many rich kids in our area as you do, because I don't see many Corvettes or Jags in the lines. I do see a number of Mustangs, though, usually being driven by the girls. As for the guys in the boat, from reading the news article, I'd agree with you that it appears to be a case of operator error. Were they showing off for the chicks on the beach? |

Actually, I have referred to the MS-13 gangsters who hang out in and around the Springfield Mall, which is a couple of miles from your house. If by "shopping center," you are referring to the little Safeway shopping center near your house, yes, I am familiar with it, but I am not familiar with any apartment complexes behind it. I appreciate the "tuner" references. I've been referring to these cars and their drivers as boy racers, which apparently is now an obsolete term to describe that particular car cult. A lot of the high school aged boys around here drive such cars. The first thing they seem to modify is the exhaust, to make the car loud. I suppose they like the attention their exhaust systems get from the local sheriff's deputies. ![]() |

Seems to have gone by the wayside as some of the Harleys are reaching ear splitting levels. Since amalgamation in the mid 90's, the police are scarce in the old City of Halifax. Some of the southern Maryland Harley riders are running without mufflers. I don't know why the local deputies don't pull them over. They should. |
