I don't find it amusing to read about these poor kids suffering as they do because of situations they had no hand in creating. But, then, I'm not a right-winger. Then don't sit by with a bleeding heart, set up a relief fund and adopt them. Move the whole family into your house for that matter. That's what many people did during the great depression. Both my grand parents took in people and helped them get jobs at least until their 'guests' could be on their own. You can too. And BTW, the girl on the front page of your link looks happy, and well clothed. Also it looks like she's been eating healthy. I didn't know you could find healthy food in the inner-city? Mc.Donalds? The little girl is living in a shelter, Tim. How happy do you really think she is not to have a home? Conservative christians just slay me. Earlier today I saw a bit about a fundie preacher in Texas, I think, who used church funds to build a $10 million house. Tithes? |

Yeah, and look at how much Madelyn Murray was holding when she was murdered. I think it was about what... 3 mil? |

I didn't know that preachers demanded tithes either. Some people do tithe but there's nothing in the New Testament about it being a requirement. |

If you believe more than that, you're just believing in superstitions no different than if perhaps a bit more advanced than the ancient Egyptian belief in Ra. After all, the earth is only 6,000 or 9,000 years old, and man and dinosaurs roamed the earth together, just like in the Flintstones. -- Religion: together we can find the cure. |

"[Country music doesn’t have to be politically correct.] We sing about God because we believe in Him. We’re not trying to offend anybody, but the evidence that we have seen of Him in our small little lives trumps your opinion about whether or not He exists..." It's a shame that liberals will treat prisoners with such good will at the expense of shelters. Maybe their attitudes need adjusting? http://www.fastcodesign.com/1665387/...n-or-princeton John H. -- Hope you're having a great day! |
