Recommendation for CL 16 Outboard Shaft Length and HP

Hi,

I am getting a motor for my CL 16 (an older one # 878) and was hoping you
could help me with a recommendation for the HP and shaft length. I will be
sailing in a area where I will have to motor out for a 1 KM or so before I
can sail. I am currently looking at a 15" shaft between 3 and 4 hp.

Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.
