these surveys.

No it is not. Do you answer all those phone pollers? How about the
person wants to know if you have a gun safe, how much your net worth is,
you Social Security number? I just hang up.

"The highest levels of alcohol abuse were reported by gun owners who engaged in dangerous behavior with their weapons. For example, gun owners who also drove or rode in motor vehicles with loaded guns were more than four times as likely to drink and drive as were people who did not own guns. But gun owners who did not travel with loaded guns were still more than twice as likely to drink and drive as were people who did not own guns."

No one would answer questions in a way that would indicate these types of behaviors.

"Do you drink and drive?" "Do you do it with a loaded gun?"

"Yes, absolutely!"

BS.

You mean "left with grand mom"
That used to work before grand mom was a crack head too.
We are coming up on 3 generations of disfunctional families now in
that culture.

The liberal democrats can continue to trash the idea of family values
but the lack of them is getting to be the biggest single problem in
the country . Crime, drug abuse, poverty and lack of education can all
be traced back to the lack of family structure.

It's always fun to read the postings of conservatives on the subject of
family values when the party of those conservatives votes to cut food
stamps for hungry children, votes to keep poor people away from decent
health care, votes to discriminate against gays, votes to take the vote
away from the poor, people of color, students, and the elderly. Family
values and today's Republican Party are polar opposites.

You forgot to mention today's vote to ****can O'Bamacare. And the chosen
one tweets "They did it".

Family

The Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives and in state
legislatures where possible voted almost unananimously to do what I have
stated.

You forgot to include, "why?"

Why? Because they are hate-filled assholes who use their idea of
christianity to **** on poor people.

You really have flipped out. Call the medics.

In the simplest terms welfare policies and the tax code reward single
parents and discourage marriage. Single mothers are punished for
having a man in the house.
The other problem is the "all or nothing" approach to welfare. It
discourages people from working.

The "war on poverty" was a huge failure. There are more people in
poverty than there were in the early 60s and some have a couple of
generations of their family who have never had meaningful employment..

If you think that is the case, then you and the rest of the Republicans
should be working to get rid of regulations that penalize single mothers
for having a "man in the house."

If you want more impoverished single mothers to hold down jobs, then we
will need to increase the minimum wage substantially and find a way to
provide high-quality daycare for the children left at home.

As for marriage, my understanding is that younger women of all
educational and employment levels are far less interested in that form
of relationship than the women of previous generations, and it has
nothing to do with the tax code. I know lots of couples in their 40s who
have no desire to marry their partners or anyone else, and that includes
the women as well as the men.

In this country, it is the Republican office holders who proclaim their
christianity at the same time they stick the knife into poor people,
people of color, women, et cetera. There are exceptions, of course. Eric
Cantor is Jewish and he is as much of an asshole as his Christian
Republican House members.

Plus, instead of learning good work values, they learn the scamming of the
system. Why there are now 5-8 generation welfare "families".

More pay for single parent. More pay for more kids. Nothing supporting a
real family structure.
