Easy - www.luhrs.com
Sandy K. "Paul" wrote in message . cable.rogers.com... Hey, can anyone give me a website address for Luhrs? I tried googling them but all I seem to get is bait makers. Not buying one, just window shopping. "Capt. Frank Hopkins" wrote in message hlink.net... Any time Sandy. You may also have a loot at Huckins Yachts. http://www.huckinsyacht.com/ They make a damn fine vessel too. Hull is based on a WWII P.T. boat. Capt. Frank Sandy K. wrote: "Capt. Frank Hopkins" wrote in message hlink.net... Dear Sandy, I have never owned a Luhrs, but have been to their factory on a several occasions to ferry new boats to their owners. NICE boats! Ride well in a heavy sea, and the convertable models are a functional and comfortable fisherman too. Plenty of range, storage and fresh water, and easy to dock too. We had a few problems with the first boat's engines. The factory hired an aircraft, and, flew a mechanic with parts to Savannah to repair the boat, so, I must add that factory service was superb. Let me recommend the tour. You must call in advance to arrange it. The Factory is located in St. Augustine, Florida, which is the nation's oldest city. Lots of touist attractions, (Ripley's Believe it or not museaum, oldest : castle, church, house, jail, farm, tavern, restaurant, ect) and home to World Golf Village. You should have a good time. Dockage & fuel available downtown. Nice docks, within walking distance of attractions and dining. Taxis, scooters and horse drawn carrages available for transportation. If you want any info about trip planning, give me a head's up. I live nearby (22mi) and can give you the native's viewpoint. Capt. Frank Capt. Frank - Thanks for the info. I'll let you know if we decide to do a factory tour. right now, I'm just shopping and collecting info. Sandy K. |
