I'd guess in your narrow mind that heresay about Martin is damning, but actual arrest records of Zimmerman are bull****, right? Well, if arrests make one a 'bad' person, then you should ask your newfound buddy about this: 8/8/01 Au contraire...having worked as a mid and upper level troublemaker* for both the NEA and the AFT, I can testify first-hand that there are no organizations more democratic. They will talk every single subject to death, until everyone's opinion is heard at least three times. *My professional resume include a mention of the time I was cited for *criminal* contempt of court, jailed briefly and fined 50 Large in New York State for activities aimed at prolonging a teachers' strike a judge wanted ended. The charges later were dropped. I enjoyed every minute of it. -- Harry Krause ------------ John (Gun Nut) H. -- Hope you're having a great day! Oh man. Hey, it wasn't as if I lied my country into a war against Iraq or Afghanistan, and there was no criminal penalty for public employee strikes in the state at that time. The judge ordered striking teachers back to work, but the only penalty for them was to lose two days pay for every day the strike lasted, and the issue was such that the teachers were willing to stay out a while longer. The strike was not over pay. So the judge ordered each teacher to line up in front of the courthouse so he or she could be individually served with his back to work order. I had the teachers that showed up for that "show of force" come out the back door of the courthouse so they could plop those orders into a steel trash bin in which I had a fire burning. All was forgiven by the end of the day, the strike lasted another few days, and the board of education agreed to go back to the bargaining table and negotiate, which was what the strike was all about, because the public employee statutes required the board to negotiate "in good faith," and the strike came about because it refused to do so. Unfortunately at the time there were no civil penalties to force the board back to the bargaining table. Oh, there were no weapons involved, and no one got shoved. Peaceful civil disobedience, as it were. Gosh, Zimmerman all over again. John (Gun Nut) H. Damn you ARE senile or stupid. Did you not notice that Zimmerman had a gun and shot a kid? |

I find it sickly hilarious that you defend Zimmerman who WAS arrested and Martin who was NEVER arrested.... What was Zimmerman ever CHARGED with. That was your original contention. 1. Resisting officer with violence. (this happened while he was drinking, by the way) 2. Restraining order issued against him for domestic violence. Now, what was Martin ever charged with again?? Neither ever resulted in a CHARGE. Cops don't charge people, They simply arrest them. The DA or states attorney decides whether there are grounds for an actual charge. Nope, only for felonies in Florida, where Zimmerman lives. Zimmerman was never charged with anything, even after he shot Martin, until politicians up to and including the intruder in chief demanded it. (for political reasons, not facts) In retrospect the first opinion of the states attorney the night of the shooting was the right one., There was no case there. Our local DA was on TV here saying the same thing the day after the verdict and he explained why. Zimmerman, like it or not was within his rights to use deadly force to stop a physical attack that did not seem to be stopping. Now, what was Martin arrested for again? Oh, nothing....... ....'cause he attacked someone and got his ass shot. John (Gun Nut) H. -- Hope you're having a great day! |
