William Scranton...
....died yesterday.
He was a governor of Pennsylvania, a U.S. Congressman, and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, among other things. Scranton was a progressive Republican politician who overhauled his state's educational system and improved in many ways the lives of his state's citizens. Today, of course, he would be drummed out of the Republican Party. |
