Well...
I know, I know, "the jury didn't say he was innocent, only said he was
not guilty" but you know what they meant. At the same time the jury never said "Treyvon was on top beating the life out of George" either... but it's obviously what they believed... |

The presumption of innocence was upheld, as it should have been. John (Gun Nut) H. -- Hope you're having a great day! |

Was OJ being attacked and his head smacked against the sidewalk? John (Gun Nut) H. -- Hope you're having a great day! |

My point was directed at folks who are saying "they did not find him *innocent*, just not guilty" are some of the same folks who demanded we accept the OJ verdict twenty some odd years ago... |

Accepting the verdict and believing justice was done are not the same thing. I was at a conference in Chicago, attending regional meetings of a mostly black labor union, when the OJ verdict was announced in the murder trial. No one at our lunch table, and I was the only "whitey" there, thought OJ should have walked. He was found not guilty but justice was not done. |
