The presumption of innocence was upheld, as it should have been.

Accepting the verdict and believing justice was done are not the same
thing. I was at a conference in Chicago, attending regional meetings of
a mostly black labor union, when the OJ verdict was announced in the
murder trial. No one at our lunch table, and I was the only "whitey"
there, thought OJ should have walked. He was found not guilty but
justice was not done.

That all assumes Travonn was "innocent" yet he seems to have a history
of burglary, assault, gun/drug dealing and general thuggery.

The judge quashed all of this before the trial but it is still out
there.

There is no reason to believe "walking slowly in the rain looking INTO
cars", as Zimmerman reported in his police call, is not suspicious
activity.

We are still waiting to see what the Miami police found when they
tried to find the owners of the jewelry Trayvonn was caught with
(along with a burglary tool).
What was the disposition of that .40 cal S&W pistol Travonn was
flaunting on the internet? Did Mom throw it in the bay? Do the parents
still have it? How did he get that? Was it stolen too? How about the
.22 he was trying to sell?

My bet is that the lawyers made all of that, along with the dope he
had and was trying to sell, "go away".

Will the state try to pursue any of that? The guns alone constitute
several felonies.

The special prosecutor is gonna' be frog hopped soon. Seems a bunch of
evidence just came out yesterday that was deliberately hidden from the
defense through the whole trial... These pics and vids probably say a
lot as to why Trayvon's parents are so quiet. If they do go to civil
litigation, I think Martin will get ripped to pieces for what he was in
real life... A gangster, and a thug.

Name seems familiar but my "remember" isn't what it used to be.
Might be that I just recognize the brand name.
Cancer sucks. Too many friends and former acquaintances have been

They apparently were accessible when the phone was taken into state

Fired for doing the right thing, sounds right for this particular
prosecutor.
There should be sanctions and perhaps a few heads rolling in that DA's
office.
They never had a case and resorted to illegal activities to make it
look like they did.
Our local DA said he never thought that case should proceed and was
not surprised at all with the verdict. Bear in mind the DA's office
refused to prosecute based on the evidence they had that night and
that is why Zimmerman was sent home.
It wasn't until this became a political witch hunt that the case went
forward. Outright lies by the media fed the frenzy.
Weeks after they had the pictures of Zimmerman's injuries Chris
Matthews was still saying he was not injured at all.

------------------------------------------------------------

When all the dust settles it will become clear that this unfortunate
event evolve into another attempt at changing gun laws.
The pro-gun control groups are already past civil and/or federal suits
and want another "conversation" about gun laws in general.

I am getting tired of hearing that expression, "we need to have a
conversation". It's overused and is meaningless. Either get your
ass in gear and propose something or shut up and go home.
