Rev. Al's having a bad day. The Zimmerman trial isn't going his way.

If Zimmerman gets off, it won't be the first time white guys in Florida
committed racially motivated murder against a black kid and got away
with it. It has happened hundreds of times. They used to lynch the kids.
Now they just tail them through a housing development, start a fight and
shoot them.

I don't know if that's true or not. But my layman opinions a

Zimmerman shouldn't be carrying a gun. He thinks he's a cop or has a
cop complex. He shouldn't have engaged Martin. He should have just
called 911 if he thought any suspicious activity was going on. It
would be a different story if he were ambushed or jumped by Martin.
However, based on the testimony to date, he was not in violation of
the stand your ground statute, IMO. In the court system, that's all
that matters.

It's a typical gun-nut state law. Zimmerman started an altercation with
a black teen-ager who was doing nothing illegal, and when Zimmerman lost
control of his temper (what did he say, that "they always get away with
it" or something like that), he escalated and then ended it by shooting
the kid. He was "standing his ground" in someone else's face and using
his pistol to bail himself out of it. And Florida's stand your ground
law lets him do it.

I think the testimony of the Physician's Assistant indicated that
Zimmerman is 5' 7" tall. He might have a bit of "little man"
complex as well as wanting to be a cop or act like one. Given all
the info that has been provided, I agree that if Zimmerman had been
minding his own business .... or had simply called 911 if he thought
it was his duty, none of this would have happened. All the
scuttlebutt about Martin's character and Zimmerman's previous run ins
with the police doesn't matter. It's all about what specifically
happened that night. A simple fist fight doesn't warrant deadly
force. However, all Zimmerman has to claim is that *he felt* that his
life was in immediate danger (part of his prior testimony in
depositions includes his claim that Martin saw his gun and tried to
take it) in order for him to be acquitted. It's going to be very
interesting what the jury thinks.

Al is as creepy as Zimmerman.

The gene pool will be better off without Martin AND Zimmerman, AND (if
it could be arranged) that crazy bitch Rachel Jeantel.

Has the USA lost ALL vestiges of common sense?

--------------------------------------

I am beginning to think so. With all the serious issues in the world
that need attention, from foreign policy (we have none) to
unemployment and a government that continues to spend $85B a month of
borrowed money to artificially shore up the economy, the big news is
about gays being able to marry, extending government benefits to
illegals and other federal social freebies to be paid from a shrinking
revenue base. It's going to come apart at the seams soon.
