BAR is right, just a ball point refill
Two tricks, drill a tiny hole up in the pointy end just past where the
refill stops so it can breathe and open it up inside with a piece of
coat hanger wire that you beat a little flat on one end.
Use epoxy paste or good old JB Weld to hold it in place .

You need a pretty big horseshoe crab and they are getting harder to
find. There is some commercial taking of them and the habitat is being
hurt so they are becoming a species of special concern.
Fortunately they shed their shell in a molt so no crab was harmed in
this project. In fact if this wasn't a molted shell, getting the tail
hollowed out would be harder.


Don't the horseshoe crabs figure into the produciton of some drugs? I saw a program where
their blood has some special qualities.
