....god do all day?
If god doesn't prevent bridge collapses, or tornado damage, or hurricane damage, or marathon bombings, or movie theater shootings,,or school shootings, or wars, car crashes, muggings, ships sinking, plane crashes or cancer, what exactly does god do? Just wondering. |

I don't think I can buy that, especially when innocent little children are so often the victims. |

I think about it from time to time, especially after a school shooting or, last week, after what we call "an act of god," the tornado in Oklahoma. |

I think he/she is still bound by physics... just knows a lot more than we do and can work around a lot of it. I don't believe God can snap the fingers and make magic happen. |

I suppose I could embrace the concept of "karma" if I gave it enough thought. Good promotes good and bad promotes bad. But they are judged by what our human interpretations of good and bad are. |

It's really kind of mind boggling if you think about it. -------------------------------------- Yup. A little more than my pea brain can handle. Been reading about some more recent theories though that although still hard to fathom, start to stir some kind of awareness somewhere in my head. It just "happened". But we lack concepts or words to describe or express it because the whole thing is outside of our 3 dimensional world of awareness. For example, to describe time or the universe before it existed as "nothing" doesn't work because the word "nothing" *is* something in our world. You can't have nothing by defining it as something, even if it's *nothing*. Anyway, gives me a headache. Here's an interesting link on the subject: http://discovermagazine.com/2008/apr/25-3-theories-that-might-blow-up-the-big-bang#.UaE_WJy8KVo |
