That's good news and bad news for us. The good news is that the
winter trade winds will start to moderate in the Carib which means we
will start getting longer weather windows for the trip back. The bad
news of course is that spring in SWFL is a nice time of the year. It
was a fair exchange however since we've had about 4 months of spring
like weather down here.

I know that many right wingers won't watch an educational channel like
PBS, but to those here that don't mind learning, there's going to be a
very good show on called The Constitution U.S.A. I watched an extended
preview of it and it's going to be eye opening.

My daughter was complaining of the bias at school. My other daughter was complaining about
lefty teacher bias at her school.

I wouldn't trust PBS doing a rerun of Gunsmoke.

Bingo!!! I TOLD everyone the right wingers don't want to know facts,
they just want to know what FOX tells them!!

That's a little harsh in my opinion. Some of the PBS programming is
really quite good and it fills a much needed culture void that the
commercial networks can't afford. Not everyone has the same tastes in
music, theatre (or politics) and PBS does a god job covering most of
the bases. Are they totally unbiased? Heck no, but you can say the
same thing about the New York Times and the Washington Post - both
great newspapers but you have to appreciate which filter you're
looking through.

I wonder if he is really stupid enough to believe that FOX is
unbiased.....

Rightie extremists tend not to like news and current events programming
on PBS because the shows go into great detail into subjects they do not
like or like to ignore. Great detail usually means the problems and
possible solutions are not presented in a black or white format, and
require thinking and analysis.

No harry, it's because it's nothing more than lefty entertainment, just
like you...

This from a FOX lemming!

Sorry, PBS has earned the distinction of being a den of thieves.

Don't forget the constant hate speech..

I suppose you have examples, right? Nah....... didn't think so.

"Bias" = "...Mental tendency or inclination, esp an irrational
preference or prejudice "

"Activist" = "...a policy of taking direct and often militant action to
achieve an end, esp a political or social one"

There is a difference, most on the left don't really see the difference
though...

Can you please give some examples of PBS indulging in such?

I'd have to admit that I don't get a chance to watch much PBS down
here in the Caribbean but I can't ever recall PBS advocating militant
action to achieve a political or social objective. What did I miss?

Nothing, it's a lie told by FOX and of course, the right regurgitates
FOX!

Ref the show in question
It is probably on their web site. I should have it on my DVR if the
timer gods were kind and I could burn you a copy.

BTW it looks like you may have missed spring here.. Jim Rief says this
may be the last cool front..

What exactly in the show was biased in your opinion?

Are you responding to something three replies deep in this thread?
It is certainly not responsive to what Wayne or I said

This was my first response in this thread and I never mentioned any
bias. In fact I still have not even seen the show. It is still in the
DVR
You just swing blindly without even knowing who you are swinging at.
