Default Fees & Fuel in Antigua

I'm just trying to cost up a charter in Antigua next April (Antigua Week).
Does anyone have a ball-park figure for mooring fees based on 41ft
mono-hull? Don't worry, I won't hold you to it! Also, cost of diesel in
Antigua?

diesel is expensive in Antigua - cheaper in Guadeloupe just to the
south, or even cheaper if you want to sail up to St Maarten (which
is a free port, no tax to pay) about 100 miles away. Everything is
expensive in Antigua in fact, its one of the most expensive places
I went.

if you want to anchor out (do you?) then AFAIK you just do it - in
English and Falmouth harbours you will have to pay a small charge to
do so (which covers sewage and garbage disposal). Not sure how much
of a berth you will get there during Race week otherwise, but when
I was there a few years ago there were so many boats around that they
just couldnt keep count and I never paid anything. You could probably
berth in Jolly Harbour but I dont know costs and its a way to travel
around each day.

Guadeloupe is a good alternative, they have a large marina in
Port-a-Pitre and several charter fleets are based there. Tis nice
to nip up through the 'river' in the middle of the island (the
bridge opens at 6am or something like) and Antigua is only a
few hours sail away.. come back via the eastern passage and
stop at Les Petit Islets (two islands and a reef, shouldnt be
many people there) and then along the south east coast, Francois,
St Anne etc..
