You have to try to understand the mindset of someone like Herring.

1. He's an aging, white, racist homophobe living in a world that has
left him behind.

2. He's on the wrong side of almost every social and political issue,
and it ****es him off.

3. He thinks women are property to be controlled by small-minded men.

4. He cannot tolerate discussions on which he is on the wrong side, and
it is obvious he is on the wrong side.

5. He's almost totally ignorant of how the internet works and thinks
that if there are discussions that don't involve his grandkids, his
camper, his guitar, his discovery of bluegrass music, his inability to
actually chose firearms, then there won't be enough bandwidth left for
his posts.

6. Like Wayne, he thinks he is in charge of what should be posted here,
even though, like Wayne, he behaves just like those he tries to castigate.

Herring is no brighter than PsychoSnotty.

Unfortunately no one is in charge of that. If there were, you would
have been gone long before John or I showed up. What is your
endurance record for surviving in a moderated group? Does that tell
you anything? Do the expressions "asshat" or "dead beat" or "tax

recently?

W'hine, w'hine, w'hine...you behave just like you urge others not to

I've been active in a handful of moderated posting groups for more than

Sorry, W'hine. Never was a client of First National City Bank or its
successors. Did make some money from them, though, about 1970, when the
company bought out a Detroit client of mine for cash. Shares of client
were selling for about $5 a share OTC, City paid $29 a share. Pretty
good deal.

The organizations I admire tend to be those that help people in need,
without regard to anything but need, or that promote the commonweal, or
that advance knowledge and understanding and peace. As an example, I
admire Meals on Wheels and Planned Parenthood as organizations that help
people in need. I don't admire Bank of America or Exxon.

There's an old saying in banking:

"Any fool can lend money. The trick is to get it back."

Sorry, W'hine. Never was a client of First National City Bank or its
successors. Did make some money from them, though, about 1970, when
the company bought out a Detroit client of mine for cash. Shares of
client were selling for about $5 a share OTC, City paid $29 a share.
Pretty good deal.

Now the lying tax cheat was in the M&A biz? What next?

We still don't know what Harry's final disposition was with Ullico. Did he quit? Did he get
terminated. Was he a casualty of the financial shenanigans Ullico encountered during his
tenure?

Funny stuff coming from a little twerp who couldn't have passed the
mandatory pee test to get a job at ULLICO replacing the rolls of toilet
paper in the lavatories. Do you have any actual job skills any white
collar employer might value? I don't think so.

What am I talking about? Your total, complete lack of job skills that
might appeal to any real employer for a payroll job or a consultant's
contract.

You must think it takes extraordinary boating skills to single-hand your
way to Catalina Island. After all, it's not as if jetskiers can and do
do it. Oh, wait...they do.

You probably couldn't single-hand your way across a drainage ditch.

One of the local supermarkets was advertising recently for cashiers at
$11 an hour. Of course, you'd have to know your numbers in case the
scanner wasn't working for some reason.
