In fact, I did for exactly that reason. There are some here, Scotty and "Earl" and Herring among them, who have nothing to offer *but* that sort of child's play. Poor Earl changes his email addy slightly very frequently in order to get through my filters so I can see his vomitus, but that doesn't work for him. He's a permanent member of The Bozo Bin. Some of his retorts are humorous. You have indicated that you are still here for a somewhat similar reason .... to see rec.boats finally dissolve into a pile of dust and blow away. You stir up as much or more of the dust that he does. If you remember back many years ago, Jim often made very informative and useful posts in response to problems people had with boats or boat engines. He had particular expertise in outdrives and was always spot on with helpful suggestions in troubleshooting or identifying a solution to a problem. But, the number of real boating related posts has diminished to maybe one or two a week now-a-days, so there's really nothing to contribute anymore. I know Jim. I also know his newsgroup persona is not the real Jim. That's all I'll say about that. |
