April 14 (Reuters) - A Texas man used a gun to commit suicide in the
infield of a National Rifle Association-sponsored NASCAR race at the
Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth late on Saturday, local authorities
said.

Kirk Franklin, 42, of nearby Saginaw died after shooting himself at
10:30 p.m. on Saturday during the NRA 500 Sprint Cup race, according
to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

Franklin was involved in a verbal altercation with other race
spectators before the incident, said Daniel Segura, a Fort Worth
Police Department spokesman.

Franklin's body was found in the back seat of a truck, according to an
online police report. (Reporting by Brendan O'Brien in Milwaukee;
Editing by Edith Honan and Eric Walsh)

Hey, you finally got yourself a martyr. *Well, now...

There's no shortage of suicides by gun in this country. What it actually
is is a juxtaposition.

Looks to me like either it's a coincidence, or he purposely picked the
special place at the special event to cap himself, * to fit some kind
of an agenda.

Well, whatever the motivation, it's too bad there wasn't someone in his
life who could intervene, although, even if there was, it might not have
helped.

True, I do hate to hear of suicides, There's no call for it, but if a
person is determined to do it it will be done.

Sad.

And, we might as well make it easy for them, right?

Exactly.

That's what I love about 2nd Amend. nuts. They're nuts.

Maybe we shouldn't give a ****. They take themselves out at an
alarming rate, but why should we care? Because of what other
irresponsible idiots do with their guns before they have a chance to
kill themselves.

What it demonstrates is just how sick you and jps must be to be so thrilled that someone shot
himself.

Remember John, these two are all in for themselves and could care less
about anybody else... They "both" have their guns when they want them
but like most libs, don't want to share that security with anybody else....

It is humorous watching FOAD slobber all over jps' anti-gun posts in one thread, and tout his
firearm collection, knowledge, and abilities in other threads.

Down south, we regard that as the immutable Law of Darwin. No big deal
and it virtually eliminates recidivism.

How sick does one have to be to call any suicide 'poetry in motion', or agree with the post?

Poetry in motion was just inflammatory rhetoric to get attention, you
fell for it.

So you think he wasn't exhibiting some sort of happiness or satisfaction with the title of the
thread? You are quite charitable, or gullible.

It is had to agree or disagree with the verbatim posting of a news
article. It is what it is.

The immutable Law of Darwin is at work. Agree or disagree makes no
difference. The dead dumb ass won't procreate.

Blame Guns. Blame Alcohol. Blame stupidity. Whatever.

Factually? Case closed.
