We have a dear old Westsail 32 which I sail all winter in the San Juans. I
take along a kerosene radiant heater that does a great job of heating the
boat. You want to keep your hatch open to assure a good fresh air supply,
and you need to shut 'er off at night, but otherwise this simple system is
quite effective. Yes, it does add another fuel, but if you happen to have
kerosene lanterns aboard....

A truly worthwhile advantage of the kero heater--which sits on the floor--is
the even heat distribution. Wall mounted heaters, such as the Dickinson,
will not warm the floor level, unless you install a small fan to circulate
the warm air. Far too complicated, imho.

10? Had also thought about solid fuel but that may be more trouble
then it's worth. No diesel onboard so don't want to add another fuel.
