Stay tuned.

We'll be heading over to the French islands in another week or two and

it just keeps getting better and better.

My buddy from Tortola claims that the best looking women in the Caribbean are in Dominica. Must be that French mixture.
He likes to talk about a visit to a cat house on that island and the hard choice it is to choose a 'companion'.

He's up here this winter re-establishing residence so he can get a free knee replacement. He's suffering it out now...because of a couple other health issues he may stall at the end of the line and not get the operation for two years.
He does plan on returning to Tortola in July for a while as he usually has a job waiting as Hurricane Warden for the hurricane season... so if you're still in that area at that point, he could be a good person to know.

Grenada has some very good looking women also, probably a result of
the French inflence as well. St Barts has more than its share of the
rich and famous of course and they aren't shy about letting it all
hang out on the beach.

I'd certainly be interested in conversing with your friend. There's
nothing like local knowledge. Unfortunately our insurance company
requires us to be out of here before the hurricane season kicks up so
we'll be long gone by July. Feel free to pass along my EMAIL address
but give me a "heads up" on here if you do so that I remember to check
it.

According to the bigots here the French aren't worth reporting on!

That just shows a lack of understanding.

German cars; French wine, women and surrender batallions.

Just came back from 9 days in Paris. Have a new appreciation
of the place. Classy all round, esp. for food!!!

Anyways, I don't think their soldiers are a problem, it's
their politicians. The soldiers wandering around the Metro
and the tourist attractions are big enough to not want to
mess with. Plus they've all got them metallic grey things
with barrels slung over their shoulders.

One thing we did see that was cool was three Police Officers
skating down the street on Rollerskates. Strange. Bit
like a crocodile - probably get you in a straight line but
I think they'd be stuffed if you zigged and then zagged.

You gotta love those trawlers at anchor, but the 'other stuff' is pretty nice too.

We are particularly fond of the one on the left... :-)

I would like to adopt some of the "other stuff" to help out with the
boat and things like that but the Admiral has ixnayed everything I've
proposed so far.
