I haven't talked to my reloader friends this time but last time we had
a run on ammo, primers were hard to get.

My RCBS Rockchucker has been packed away for 30 years but I still
remember how to use it.

summer so they ended up forming a buying co-op, getting case lots of
something like 10 or 20,000 at a time.

The reloaders that I know were griping about the price of primers last
summer so they ended up forming a buying co-op, getting case lots of
something like 10 or 20,000 at a time.

When I was running the skeet league we were buying shotgun shells by
the pallet. You could get AA Winchesters for about $2 a box that way.
It was competitive with reloading and people could sell the hulls if
they felt like fooling with it.

Maybe you're going to shoot a boat?

That may not be much help. I was at Bass Pro today for a lunch meeting
and they are out of primers and virtually all powders (one can of
shotgun powder).
I also saw zero pistol bullets and no loaded pistol ammo of any kind.
They have plenty of shotgun ammo and a fairly good supply of rifle
ammo except .223 and .308.
