while sitting in front of a display of the 10 Commandments.

My home built stand was made from 2 inch water pipe stands and cross

bar at thee top. Then we welded chain to the crossbar to suspend a

16x16-7/16" thick steel plate. From up to 300 yards with big

bore... . shoot, hit (DING!)

It worked really well for quite a while that is until I over adjusted

the windage on my M1 Garrand and shot a chain at 250 yards..

Broke the sucker and threw it in the junk. The plate was all shot up

anyhow.

Don't need a stand now anyway. I cancelled the Quantico membership. If I buy the Barrett .50, I may

reconsider just so I can use the 1000 yard range.

You have quite an imagination but don't seem to be able to tell the
difference between thoughts that amuse or comfort you and reality.

Yeah, but you can throw an attached float off the stern and shoot to your heart's content. Or, do
you not carry a firearm?

====

I normally don't carry on the boat. * Cruising internationally the
rules vary a great deal from country to country and getting caught out
of bounds for even minor infractions (like an ammo count discrepency)
can mean loss of boat and/or jail time.

Wayne, I'm sure that the rules for carry in port can change at no
given notice as well.

====

The rules for just about everything can change with no notice. We
checked into Puerto Rico yesterday, which is nominally part of the
USA, only to discover that they wanted to know if we had any trash
onboard. Who knows what you are supposed to do with trash before you
arrive, or what the penalty/procedure is if you answer yes. Some of
this stuff is just bizarre.

Can't believe his wife is encouraging him.
She should go review Dr Phil last week.
He had a young couple on who were feuding with the guys mother. The guy wanted his wife to learn how to use a gun as protection from this mother in law.
Of course the young, beautiful wife was very nervous of guns and Dr Phil told her she was right to be so. Statistics show that she would be the most likely victim of the guns.
