In what really matters. . .
In every category of social welfare that matters to ordinary people, the
United States just sucks. How many weeks of paid maternity leave provided by various countries? Canado 50 Norway 44 Italy 22 UK 20 Denmark 18 Venezuela 18 France 16 Spain 16 Netherlands 16 Germany 14 Japan 14 Mexico 12 South Africa 12 Pakistan 12 And the good old United States, where the fetus rules 0 That's right. 0. |

What the *ell! That is a big surprise. It only used to be 6 months up here when my two boys were born in the late '70s and early '80s but I remember when the improvements were brought in. |
