In every category of social welfare that matters to ordinary people, the

What the *ell!
That is a big surprise. It only used to be 6 months up here when my two boys were born in the late '70s and early '80s but I remember when the improvements were brought in.

The USA has no mandatory vacations either. The country only holds $$$
sacred.

Ordinary people don't seek welfare. Why don't you just go bunk in with
Donnie for a while to get an idea of how it is to live in a socialist
welfare state. He'd put you up in the basement where you'd be most
comfortable. Yoy wouldn't mind a dirt floor, would you?

No Harry, that's wrong. Since the passing of Roe v Wade, a fetus has
had absolutely no rights especially in regards of it's life or it's
death. a fetus rules over nothing.

That must be why the right wingers are making abortions impossible or
nearly impossible to get in states controlled by republicans.

A minor correction:

The maternity leave regulations in Norway have two different time
periods to be choosen from:

a) 44 weeks with 100% of regular wages, OR
b) 54 weeks with 80% of regular wages.

As per january 2013, the maximum annual maternity leave payment provided
by the public social welfare system in Norway is limited to NOK 492,732
(equal to approx. US$ 91,250).

Ahh, but in the good old U.S. of A., we don't give a damn about the
health and welfare of mother and child once the fetus is delivered.

That is impressive.
If we could only figure out a way for men to get pregnant, little Snottie could have a job for life. ;-)

That might be true in your family, but the general population doesn't
think the way you do.
