Good grief. Has all common sense gone in favor of political
correctness?

Probably should wait before coming to any conclusions about which part
of the "political correctness" globe whence this came.
Gather the evidence first.
It's quite possible that the suspension was ordered by a gun nut.
Very common for gun nuts to mistake a car, toy, tool, etc., for a gun.
I've seen that happen right here recently.
Gun nuts confusing guns for saw blades, ladders, etc.
OTOH, maybe it was the more typical teacher or school administrator, who
know very little about guns, and don't want to know.
You know, the same folks the NRA wants to arm.

What is interesting is that these gun nuts are buying ammo left and
right, so guess what? Police Departments are having trouble getting ammo
to protect citizens. Aren't those gun crazies great?
