Relying on statistics from the UN? Really? You a big fan of the UN?

Did you find fault with the data - compiled by the World Health Organization?

"Public health data on homicides were mainly derived from databases on deaths by cause disseminated
by the World Health Organization (WHO)."

Maybe you should stick to projecting about your maternal relationships.

Salmonbait

Skirted the question, didn't you?

That's like me quoting Sean Hannity to make a political point.

If you're a modern Republican, you hate the UN.

Here are the answers to your questions.

No, no, and no.

Why should I hate the UN? The 'hating' of anything is an affront to one's serenity.
\
That's why you'll never see me get angry enough to call anyone here a 'mother****er'.

None of the people you cited "make the United States out to be the
****tiest country in the world." There is no doubt, however, that you
are one of the ****tiest people around.

Good point, Thumper.

Herring thinks "We're not as bad as them" is an excuse for not doing
what's right?

Nope, nobody ever said that... but you guys do keep on won't you?

You stupid idiot!!! Did you even bother to, or can you, read THE

I found this video to be interesting and frankly surprising. The guy
is obviously a gun ownership advocate, but he doesn't come across as a
ultra right wing nutcase. He makes solid points about how the media
and some politicians play on emotions resulting from tragic events,
but then puts them in overall perspective. I think the points he
makes towards the end of the video makes more sense than anything
coming out of DC or many of the reactionary media commentaries.

He makes a lot of sense and confirms what many of us already
suspected. Since his views do not support the emotional anti gun
agenda however, he will not get much notice in mainstream media.

Anyone highlighting the inner city crime problem that we have will
usually be accused of racism shortly thereafter.

That is why you need to dig out the statistics on exactly who is
killing whom. It is not the first thing people bring up when they
start citing statistics. They would like us to believe it is kids like
the ones Newtown who are the main victims.

--------------------------

Last night on the local news. Chief Jordon was talking about the rash of
killings since the first of the year. Good thing he is Black. As he
commented that the majority of the shootings are part of a feud between two
African-American gangs. They are feuding over the killing of a girl late
last year, and also over the robbery and theft business in the area. I
would estimate 90% of the killings, excluding suicide are by drug gangs here
in this country.
