They sell it to the highest bidder and who knows what that bidder
wants it for, but you can bet it is to try to sell you something.

On the other hand that is a target rich environment for hackers who
want to steal something. None of these places seem that secure to me.
Most have been hacked on some level.

That's pretty much true of just about everything these days.

Yeah, probably millions per day, and they check every single one against
a picture......

That's why they have computers.

And just what do you think they do with that gold mine of information?
You are starting to sound like Ron Paul!!

necessary expenses related to the consequences of Hurricane Sandy:"

Huh? Why does the Army need a million three of extra ammunition "for
necessary expenses related to the consequences of Hurricane Sandy:"?

How many of the survivors do they think they will need to shoot?

It is that **** that makes Boehner look correct in not taking the bill
seriously.

Excuses, excuses...... Gee, how come not one single politician on the
right said, "we are not going to allow voting on the bill because of the
pork in it"???

They don't have TV in that bubble you live in? There were plenty of
politicians complaining about pork in H.R.1, including Boehner.

Bull****.

Maybe we could use the Home Depot card, which is free, as a voter ID card?

If it has your picture on it, you can in Florida. I have used my Sam's

Bull****! From:

What kind of identification do I need to bring to the polls?
When you go to the polling place to vote, you will be asked to provide a
current and valid picture identification with a signature. Approved
forms of picture identification a Florida driver's license; Florida
identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor
Vehicles; United States passport; debit or credit card; military
identification; student identification; retirement center
identification; neighborhood association identification; and public
assistance identification. (Section 101.043, F.S.) If the picture
identification does not contain a signature, you will be asked to
provide an additional identification with your signature.

Don't you see "debit or credit card" on that list? The poll workers
will take a Sams card like it is a credit card. In fact my Costco card
is an American Express card,

I didn't say anything about a Costco credit card.

Can stuff be downloaded to a kindle from the e-book groups?

Yes, indirectly, through your computer and a USB cable, or uploaded to
Amazon for a small fee.

Here are some links you might find useful:

Thanks, Wayne. Good to know in case the library runs out of e-books.

Um, how does a library "run out of e-books"???

They only have so many licenses for a book. You check out E-books just
like regular books as far as the copyright holder is concerned..

But they don't run out. Someone returns, another gets it. Just like a
real book.

Perhaps he wants a new book, not something he has already read or
something he has no interest in. I know the e-reader people I know
complain the library E book selection is limited and the "good" books
are on a waiting list. If you are one of those people who want to read
the best sellers, they really want you to buy it

I'm finding that to be very true of ebooks in the Fairfax County system. Most often the book I want
isn't available, but there is a link to "BUY BOOK". Haven't clicked it yet, but I'm thinking it's
Amazon.

I am not sure about DoD but I believe DoJ and NSA looks at damned near
anything they want and NSA wants to see it all.

NSA, NRO and that new organization that was created when the NRO was
made public all collecte the data.

Yeah, I suppose computers and people look at every piece of data that
moves in the U.S. every second. Kind of like when everyone thought the
government was listening to every phone call in the U.S.

They will have a profile on people they suspect of bring stolen
merchandize back to stores and they do prosecute.

I know Home Depot uses their surveillance for all sorts of things
My wife has a commercial account there and they have asked her all
sorts of things about her shopping patterns in a survey. It is clear
they were watching her, tracking her path through the store.. She was
in a scuffle in the parking lot and the next time she walked into the
store the manager was on her in about a minute, asking if she was OK.
That sounds like facial recognition to me. The casinos have been doing
it for years.

Yeah... sure.... That's odd, I've been going to the same Home Depot for
17 years. Several of my associates have commercial accounts. The only
difference when we go there between they and I is that they have the
luxury of 30 net.
