You've just made the case. *Any* gun is just fine in the hands of a balanced, stable person. That's the point. Glad to see you finally figured it out. The problem is the determination of who is not a balanced, stable person, then recording the information, then publicizing the information, and then acting on the information by denying the purchase of a firearm. Of course, that's not to say that the mother of the individual in question couldn't purchase the firearm. What we need is a big government agency to do all the above. Ther big end (objective lens) in on the down range side on all of my scoped rifles. My guess is that "Earl," if he ever had his hands on a scoped rifle, pointed it towards himself when he fired. It would explain his obvious brain damage. The rifle, btw, is a Thompson Center R-55. Mine has a stainless barrel and receiver. There are a number R-55 models, including a couple with wood stock. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2Vc8EbgSS0 I am not that familiar with TC rifles. I do have a few .22s and I just sold my .22 machine gun (for a 700% profit) It's a nicely made rifle, and pretty accurate right out of the box. I was going to get one of the ubiquitous Ruger .22s, but everyone I know who has one said it would "need work" to get as accurate as we'd want. I also looked at a CZ .22, which was also nice. But my local gun shop handles TC's, and gave me a good deal on the rifle and scope, mounted the scope properly, and sighted it in for me. I also buy my fishing bottom rigs and lures there, or at least I did when I spent more time fishing. ------------- You were posting that rifle as your own. Another fib? Notice we've not heard of this rifle until someone else posted a reference to it. Salmonbait -- 'Name-calling'...the liberals' answer to a lost argument! Wrong again, **** for brains. I posted photos of this rifle when I got it a few years ago. If you want to drive out here, I'll let you look at it. But not touch it. With your infirmities, you'd probably drop it. Here's another photo of the rifle: http://tinyurl.com/dy7yuwv Here's another: http://i3.ytimg.com/vi/n3WDmue9OuY/default.jpg and another: http://tinyurl.com/ar8xle3 and yet another: http://tinyurl.com/9wzstdz and a whole bunch mo http://tinyurl.com/bzfg67a More names, ESAD? That's all you have, eh? |
