You may be pleasantly surprised. Read your policy. Were/are you a member of BoatUS? We lost our boat in July despite heroic efforts by TowBoatUS. The insurance paid for the salvage efforts and the agreed value of the boat, which was more than the boat's market value. Good deal, and smart thinking. If I may ask, what caused you to lose your boat? Storm? Rocks and bad piloting, place we had been in to many times over 25 years but this day we cut the corner a trifle short on an ebbing tide. TowBoatUS was there within five minutes but it was too late. Oh man. So sorry to hear about that. Even though the boat was a loss, I take it that you and yours made it out safely. |
