Happy holidays Tim, now go shoot something and eat it:) Oh I plan on it Scott. But I won't be eating very much of it. I have 2 deer tags and plan on using them this week. I was going to go hit the woods and see if I could drop a deer or maybe two, but unfortunately, I had to attend 'the hen's club' meeting, so today that canceled my hunting appointment. Anyhow I'll be donating the processed deer for food pantry distribution through the Sportsman Against Hunger program. I've participated in the program for the past 15 years. http://herald-review.com/news/state-...a4bcf887a.html I wonder if you could use those tags in Fairfax County. I could put you on a whole herd of the buggers within a few blocks of my house! |

We do have a lot to be thankful for. I suppose that excludes atheists. What a stupid thing to say. Because someone doesn't subscribe to believing in God, they have nothing to be thankful for? Your density isn't measured in mass. To whom do you give thanks? Stupid question. How about family and friends, to those who sacrafice on behalf of others, for people who spend their lives helping others. There's million things to be thankful for that have nothing to do with the cosmic muffin or the hairy thumderer. We can all thank Mother Nature for not killing more people during Sandy. Very good. I especially like the last one - something almost spiritual about that! I hope you transmitted your thanks to all those folks in some meaningful way. Did you think "God" was listening when you transmitted yours? I'm not an atheist, by the way. Just don't like it when ignorant dweebs judge and disparage my fellow Americans for exercising their personal beliefs. Even if they're fake Christians, they're entitled to their freedom of religion. People who cry about losing their "freedoms" while disparaging atheists need a head examination. For whatever you are or are not, you've spent a lot of time here disparaging the religious beliefs of others. I'm glad to see you've changed your attitude. |

Not really, John. But they usually leave out the original proclamation of "A Day of Thanksgiving and [Prayer]..." by President Geo. Washington in 1789 http://wilstar.com/holidays/wash_thanks.html Well, I wonder to whom they give thanks. So in your very narrow mind, a person can only give thanks to a god of some sort? |
