Default When was the last time you did something for the first time?

I haven't done it yet but pretty soon I will be fixing Nav Aids in the
bay. It is a job I brought on myself but I am happy to get them
repaired. The markers coming into the Estero River are listed as
privately maintained and I have been beating the bushes to see exactly
who is supposed to be maintaining them.
USCG "they ain't ours and we don't know"
DEP "I think it was a developer"
Lee County "we think it is the gated community across the river from
you"

Several dozen emails, to a dozen people, a year later and it looks
like WCI, the developer, put them in and walked away. Now I am working
with the other HOA and Lee County but it looks like they will get me
the parts and I will do the work.

At least it will be done.

The funny thing is I was in the Coast Guard for 6 years and never
touched a nav aid.

As much as I am trying to make this a team, it may just be me.
As long as the rich guys across the creek throw money at the problem I
am OK with it. I volunteer a lot anyway since I retired, just to stay
active.
I just like cajoling people into doing the right thing.
I am going to start out with the 2 missing signs and inspecting
replacing any loose bolts on the other markers (about 33 in all)

Once I get this taken care of I will see what we can do about this
one.

You can see the high water mark on it. Something hit it!
