Scream away. No one rational follows you...the rational people just poke
fun at you.

The solution to the money problem is rationing. Welcome to the queue.

That's how it is in Canada - 2 and 3 month waits to treat conditions
that are not considered life threatening, things like dislocated
shoulders for example.

Those are the extremes, not the norm. I was in Canada a few years back,
camping in Algonquin and my friend split his toe open. Went to a local
hospital and was in and out in 30 min.

If they want to double the pct of GNP they spend on health care to what
the U.S. spends, they can cut the wait times.
As it is +80% of Canadians are happy with their system. Compare to the
U.S. They can vote it out and go all private if they want.
It's called Democracy. Same here.
Besides, Canada's system doesn't have a thing to do with the U.S.
Typical "conservative" red herring when somebody mentions Canada.

I can't claim to speak for everyone but I think there are many who do
not view health care as a proper role for the federal government. I
also think there are many who view most of the federal bureauacracy as
being incompetent, self serving and self perpetuating. Who would
want such an organization to be responsible for their health care?

Did his toe survive?

Well, to start with a lot of those high value health plan holders
(unions) who have been exempted from the taxes on their benefits.

Most of the western world doesn't share your opinion. And we're not
talking about the federal government as a provider of healthcare
here...Medicare, after all, may be a federal program, but it is not
supplying the physicians, nurses, therapists, prescriptions, et cetera,
merely the mechanism for payment.

If only you had the skills to be in a union and have decent health care
insurance, eh?

Then both of you fools should give up your Medicare.
Who the hell do you think you're fooling?
Amazing how folks can flap their lips thinking nobody can recognize
gibberish.
