Uh...yeah. When I say "vests on", the vests go on, or we return to the dock
and some people leave. There has never EVER been a problem. The adults
who've been through the drill return for more fishing again and again.

Maybe my friends respect my judgement.

Not always. Sometimes, the bay we're fishing gets crowded with wannabe
pistol targets - the drunks who don't understand what their wakes do to
anchored boats. You get a dozen of those monkeys buzzing around within 200
feet of you, and it can raise hell with a stationary boat.
