Let's go back to serfdom, eh? ------------------------------------------ Huh? Why would we need serfdom? When the government gets in the business of business and tells them they have to pay a "living wage" they have skewed the markets. San Francisco requires any government paid project to pay their definition of a "living wage". For a construction laborer, that is $35 an hour. Anywhere else in the Bay Area a laborer gets about $15 and hour plus bennies. And the City wonders why they are bankrupt. Just like California. Gov. Brown wants a big tax increase on the so called rich to help balance a bloated state budget. We were $14 billion behind at last count in revenue. $11 billion deficit last year. Control spending? Nope. Budget is up $5 billion already this year. Sort of like DC trying to spend us out of debt. Ain't going to work. |
