I was friends with Kevin, he mailed me a few weeks ago and said I was
saying **** about him here, motherf88ked me, and blocked us... not a big
deal, but that's what happened.

Really been too busy lately with the racing and such all at the same
time to worry much about it.

That's one reason I don't bother with Facebook.

I have a very select group of about 100 or so "friends" who are all
involved in one way or another with the racing scene. We use it every
day for scheduling, info and news, parts suppliers, etc... It is very
useful for us and our particular community.

That makes sense. Who would want to contact someone you never spoke to
in high school 20 years later? That's the part I don't understand. I
email or phone my close friends. The only benefit I can see to Facebook
is to find HS or college friends that you might want to talk to. After
that, email or a phone call is better than a Facebook public wall post.

I have two friends I stay in touch with from Highschool on FB. One I
started following last year when Jess was dating her son and I found out
she, he, and her brothers all play out in a lot of local clubs and such.
I more or less repost her Club dates and the videos they put up to help
with the cause. The other was one of my best buds, a drummer in HS who
lives in Michigan now who saw me on her friends list. Other than that,
the rest are racers and parents of racers, etc... Like I said, it's a
way for all of us to compare notes, share pics and stories, and discuss
our sport after a weekend of racing... Many of my friends follow my wall
because I usually have the ear of the local track owner for news and up
to date conditins, etc... and unfortunately, all too often FB is a way
to spread news of down riders and what they need too. Either way, we
probably get a lot more out of FB than most users... It's a great tool
for us.
