Plenty of Americans don't drive.
Plenty of living Americans were born at home and don't have a birth
certificate.
Plenty of Americans are tee-totalers.
That's laughable anyway, since nobody over 30 or so has to show ID to
buy spirits.
I don't think these new laws will matter much.
Here's something:
http://tinyurl.com/7294q9h
Doesn't add up to a hill of beans.
Only thing it does is raise a big stink when some Americans can't cast
their vote. It looks bad, real bad.
And everybody knows who is to blame for it.

So they were born at home, without a birth certificate, never bought a beer or booze before they
were 30 or so, and never drove. I suppose they never worked, so wouldn't have a social security
number, and surely never had a credit card or a checking account. They most likely don't even know
anyone with a car, and therefore couldn't get to a DMV anyway. In fact, even getting a free picture
ID would be a tremendous pain in the ass, 'cause they'd have to get out of bed.

What happy horse**** you folks preach. I wonder why?

Because voter fraud is the Democrats best election tool...

The republicans election tool is lies from FOX.

You can vote with a Sams club card.

You can pretty much eliminate anybody who thinks voter id is not
important, from any logical discussion involving your rights. These are
the same folks who believe the Constitution is a "living, evolving

Oh, and you cannot admit that many of these laws are passed by
Republicans knowing that they're suppressing the voter of people who
are poor and likely to vote Democratic?

If so, stop fooling yourself. Voting fraud is an infinitesimally
small problem that has nothing to do with these laws. It's ginned up
bull****.

Indeed, there are national statistics indicating fraud based on false
voter ID is an incredibly tiny problem. The motivation is suppressing
the votes of minorities, and that is all there is to it.

Indeed, indeed!

MSNBC, the Washington Post, and Brian Williams all say the same thing.

Why, then, are f'ing liberals so against ID's? Don't say 'money', 'cause we both know that's
bull****.

There are no studies showing significant voter fraud based upon false
IDs. It's a canard conservatrash use to keep down the vote of voters who
won't vote for conservative candidates.

Any voter fraud should be prosecuted.

You're so f'ing predictable.

I didn't weasel out of anything. My understanding of the problem is that
a lot of lower income folks simply don't have the sort of photo ID the
conservatrashers want, and it would be a major hassle for many of them
to get one.

We all know the right-wing motivation for this...it's to restrict voting
on the part of lower income and minority groups. It's not fraud...that's
just the excuse the conservatrashers are using.

BTW, conservatrash is not name calling. It's truth-telling. Most of
today's conservatives are nothing more than trash, and you're a perfect
example.

My daughter doesn't drive so she went to get her ID when she turned 18 a
few weeks back. Took her all of ten minutes at one of the several MVD
offices around the state. They even had folks there ready to help non
speakers...

That doesn't mean it is as easy for the majority of folks who need a
photo ID. And how did your non-driving daughter get to the MVD? And why
doesn't she drive?

It doesn't matter why she doesn't drive. The fact remains that it is not
difficult to obtain a government issued photo identification, as long as
you are legally in the USA. If you aren't here legally you don't need a
government issued photo identification unless it comes from ICE or a
prison.
