Default water separating fuel filters

If you ac delco filter is a spin on then it will act as a separating filter.
You should take it off and drain it once a year to get the water out. If
you drain it into a glass jar you will see the water at the bottom and you
can pour the gas off the top.

My main inboard fuel injected engine only has the AC Delco fuel filter.

The
fuel line to the outboard kicker, however, has a water separating filter

in
it. Are outboards more susceptible? Is this the usual arrangement?

It's not a spin on. It's horizontally mounted near fuel manifold, pressure
side of fuel pump.
