if they survived at all.

so you're wrong

I guess the state of California is wrong. Their statement no mine. And if
you have no assets, you go on welfare. You are probably taking heart and
cancer people to emergency for emergency reasons. Not for normal care.

no, you dont 'go on welfare'. if you are unemployed you dont get ****.
you die.

and you seem not to understand that routine illnesses, left
unattended, often become emergencies...sometimes fatal

--------------------------------------------------

So if you have assets they will take them and then you go on welfare. Why
should you get to keep your assets when the public is paying the doctor?
After you lose your job and spent all your money berthing a boat instead of
buying insurance.

let's see.

donald trump, a billionaire, goes bankrupt and sticks his employees
and his creditors, while retaining bliions

joe sixpack goex bankrupt because his employer got wiped out by the
bubble

and he has to go homeless

yeah. that's conservative thinking

I have a friend who knows The Donald. He says he is probably only worth a
few million. Mostly he is a front for others. Owe enough and the bank can
not foreclose. Same reason they have not foreclosed on a lot of houses.
They would be under capitalized.

kinda stupid arent you? you think an unemployed person has SO much
money they can afford this

He's just behind the times.
And on Medicare.
Since he gets basically free socialist health care, he doesn't know
the current cost of private market health care.
Closet socialists usually have a lot of blind spots.
And he's a boomer, so he got a lot of gravy.

-------------------------------------------------------------
I know what insurance costs. I have been an employer as well as laid off
over the years. I lived below my means, which gave me a cushion when a
job
went away.

a cushion! that's so quaint!

let's see...medical care for an ALS ambulance ride to the hospital
STARTS at $1500, not including meds, O2, any interventions the EMT's
or paramedics do, etc.

THEN you get to the ER where the real fun starts. thousands of dollars
in a few hours

what kind of 'cushion' do people have when they havent had a pay raise
in 20 years?

I worked for a few startups, so closing the doors and no COBRA
available was not that unusual. Sure I am on Medicare now. But that is
only for 2.5 years. I have been retired for 9 years, so for 6.5 years, I
paid my own insurance.

so you're on socialized medicine.

figures

-------------------------------------------------------------------
So buy a $2000 deductible policy. Then you will have $2k out of pocket,
and
the insurance will pick up the rest. And $2k deductible will cut your
insurance premium costs a lot.

tell you what

go look up average unemployment benefits

look up the cost of health programs with a 2K deductible

get back to me

-----------------------------------------------------
about $500 a week bennies. You should have saved a years cushion like
financial planners state. You are at least 50 years old, with a former high
paying job. Why didn’t you save for a rainy day?

breaks my heart...only a few million...

yep...banks will not foreclose. as keynes said 'if you owe the bank a
thousand, you have a problem...if you owe them a million, they have a
problem'

another example of how the wealthy skate by...
