That's not really true. It has become uneconomical to build and
operate refineries in the US for a variety of reasons. Are you
willing to pay more for your gasoline to have it refined here? Are
you willing to have a refinery in your backyard? No one else is too
eager to have one either. They are lousy neighbors even when they
meet all of the environmental regs.

Did you not read of the House Investigations. I don't remember but think
it was 2008.
