Didn't Scotty claim he was a full-patch hippie in his youth? I wonder when he gave that up for the dark side of mindless conservatism? Are you saying that full patch hippies normally grow up to be liberals? Makes sense to me. |

Harry has something against one time hippies. People like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Eldgrige Cleaver, Jack Kerouc, etc. Well, in the true sense of the word I was never a hippie. But we do know how Harry has to label folks to feel better about his own failures in life... You claimed here you were a hippie. Now you are saying you were a pseudo-hippie. Since I've been a lot more successful in life than you have, your statement is just plain silly. |

People like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Eldgrige Cleaver, Jack Kerouc, etc. Gates ? Hippie? I don't think so. Gates was always a capitalist, whether it was scamming his fellow students at Harvard in poker games or scamming Gary Kildall out of his operating system. Gates screwed a lot of people over the years. Jobs and Tichie had far more integrity than Gates. Jobs and Apple in general are far from the altruistic patriots they get represented as too. If they were, the "I" products would not be made by slaves in China, they would have factories in California. (the products are certainly expensive enough to support US workers). They might as well be the Waltons. They all were successful for providing people what they wanted. Really, this is just your envy and greed talk. If you can produce stuff people want to pay for, what is holding you back? Envy and greed is easy, doing something productive takes effort. Apple, Walmart and others provide more jobs than a fleabaggers ass does. -- Eat the rich, screw the companies and wonder why there are no jobs.
