Intermittent 2 Beeps?

Hello, we have a 26' Maxum and it beeps intermittantly, lower unit canister is full of lube oil, what else can we check?

Give some more details. What engine and drive? Enclosed or raw water
cooling? The beeper is a warning device. Is it for oil, engine heat,
charging system? does it sound off at engine idle, under cruse, plane?

We need to know some specifics....

It might not help. 2 beeps usually just means it is time to hook up a
code scanner.

That is if it's equipped with an on board computer system. That's
another thing the OP didn't mention. What year craft...

FWIW, my Proline did the beeping thing, and I looked around, saw that the plastic lower unit oil
bottle was full, and wondered what the problem was.

Actually, the plastic bottle was almost empty, but had a layer of the oil stuck to the inside making
it appear full - from the outside.

So, if you've not done so, take the top off and actually look into the plastic bottle. You're
probably a lot smarter than I was and have already done so.

Another thing you could do is trace the wire from the beeper back to whatever sensor is causing the
thing to go off.
