They're losers Harry. They're the "Christian" Taliban.

Tim, the trouble is, because Harry is so quick to label people and put
them in a very narrow slot, he'll use those idiots as an example of all
Christianity.

I noticed that several here do as well. That's why I said they're the
taliban of Christianity. But you're right, people look at the
Westboro's and their radical lunacies, and that's how they wish to
brand ALL Christians.

It's really kinda sad that some people wish to be so narrow minded as
to judge all by looking at the antics of a few misaligned and self-
rightous klutzes.

But the funny thing is that Christianity has been mocked for around
2000 years, and it's still standing well. So... I look at it like
this. If people want to curse the good Christians, then that really
doesn't make them any different than the Westboro's does it?

As a percentage of humanity, Christianity is on the rocks and shrinking.

Oh no, and far from it.

I said as a percentage. Take China and Africa muslim and non christian
growth over the last 100 years.

interesting that you should mention China. That's one country where
Christianity is flourishing and growing , not to mention S. Korea.

Smoking too much religious crack? China is only 3 or 4% Christian,
predominantly Buddhist and government is atheist without religious
preference. And in fact, no all seeing eye makes China more separation
between church and state than the USA.

"Today, estimates of Christians range between 40 million and 100
million."

"During this period, house churches boomed in popularity. As the New
York Times correspondent Nicholas Kristof noted, initially popular
among the peasantry, Christianity's reach has extended towards the
cities and the wealthy and intellectual Chinese over the last decade.

The reasons for this boom are twofold. The first is that the Chinese
have found Christianity to be a stabilising belief system amid a
dramatically changing socioeconomic landscape, which had its previous
religious traditions crushed by Maoism and its values questioned after
Tiananmen Square. And, secondly, with its obvious western heritage,
the rise of Christianity may be linked to a subconscious attack on the
norms and values espoused by the PRC – rather like South Korea in the
1980s."

Granted, even 100 mil, is a small percentage considering there's well
over a billion people in China, but it's a long step of growth since
the 70's especially in a country run by a religion supervised

Not at all. Just realize religion is about herd management and power
over the people, and not by god but by fellow man. With so many
starving people, what is so christian about the Vatican hoarding
billions while they hypocritically profess differently for the masses?

Because of religion, so few have all the power, while the rest live as
slaves to serve it. Fact is, just another form of fascism. My god is
better than your god -- and no proof anyone ever met the being.

Isn't to say I am anti-religion, I am not. The herd animal humans need
intellectual guidance through life or the whole world would become
Somalia like. Decay to the animal basics, dog eat dog.

That's a problem, isn't it? So many of many religions claim to consist
of true believers and followers, but what they stand for is hate.

My feeling is that if you are part of the "Values Voters" conference
sponsored by the Family Research Council, you parted ways with
Christianity a long time ago. Those folks hide under the banner of their
religion to spread hate.

I don't see how it is possible to be a social conservative and a
follower of the teachings of Jesus.

You are not going to convince this guy of anything Tim. He hates

Quite the contrary. I think the rise of atheism in the USA coincides
with the economic issues and lack of respect for others. Not enough
philosophy to replace the lack of sense of religion. Good religion
teaches people how to live together in harmony and peace, and for that
to occur you have to honor your debts to other people. But right now,
it is cool to dishonor your debts, Obama-Bernanke with counterfeit the
debt and pay for it mentality. Not much Christian about the sin of
dishonored debts.

But many are sin for six and repent for maybe one day as the Vatican
will absolve your sins for a price.

Most Americans who vote in 2012 for the likes of Obama for example, envy
and greed run their lives. Follow a false messiah like a sheep. The
promise of a free lunch and focus their hate on others, the fact Obama
has any support at all means the moral decay of a huge segment of the
p[population is very real.

"In Debt We Trust!" -- Obama and the fleabagger democrats. Says it
all. Mortgaging your grand kids future for just more debt today. Makes
me wonder how stupid or corrupt Obama really is.

I said as a percentage. Take China and Africa muslim and non christian
growth over the last 100 years.

Eat the rich, screw the companies and wonder why there are no jobs. But
we have big huge government we can't afford...
-- Obama and the lefty fleabagger attitude

interesting that you should mention China. That's one country where
Christianity is flourishing and growing , not to mention S. Korea.

Smoking too much religious crack? China is only 3 or 4% Christian,
predominantly Buddhist and government is atheist without religious
preference. And in fact, no all seeing eye makes China more separation
between church and state than the USA.

we weren't talking about Buddhism, Islam etc. We were talking about
Christianity weren't we?

And, secondly, with its obvious western heritage,
the rise of Christianity may be linked to a subconscious attack on the
norms and values espoused by the PRC rather like South Korea in the
1980s."

Granted, even 100 mil, is a small percentage considering there's well
over a billion people in China, but it's a long step of growth since
the 70's especially in a country run by a religion supervised
government

3 to 4% of 1.3 billion people is at most 52 million. And growth claims,
highly questionable.

Fastest growing religion in USA if you include atheists? Atheists. If
you exclude atheists, then it goes to Buddhism. Go figure.

Sort of follows black supremacy claims of being the first minority,
blacks are 3rd if you include Spanish decent.

Just a lot of bull**** to keep whining people happy. But then facts and
reality, no fleabaggers want to hear that. Some idiots feelings might
be hurt.

Chinese government is officially atheist. You need to read better
material. Check my stats on CIA Wold Fact Book, ship your voodoo
religious sermon sites.

"There are much lower estimates. The CIA World Factbook estimates 3-4%
Christians. (Are CIA estimates on religion more reliable than those on
weapons of mass destruction?) "

?;^ )

Certainly better than your bull****.

I believe in free speech. But...I wouldn't mind seeing these
morons from
Westboro have the **** beat out of them every time they pull this
sort
of crap, and *especially* when they pull it at the funeral of a
soldier
killed in action.

I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one.

They're losers Harry. They're the "Christian" Taliban.

Tim, the trouble is, because Harry is so quick to label people and
put
them in a very narrow slot, he'll use those idiots as an example of
all
Christianity.

As a percentage of humanity, Christianity is on the rocks and

Take them and then what.. Still your comment is based on emotion, not
fact... seems you are acting like the zealots you imagine in your dreams..

It was stated christianity is on the rocks, and I agree.

The Churches themselves have lost their way.

You are just a hater. Your opinions on this subject were obviously
per-determined years ago.

So were yours. But in my generation is didn't subscribe to that of my
grand parents or parents. They were Protestants or Anglican, I am agnostic.
