They're losers Harry. They're the "Christian" Taliban.

Tim, the trouble is, because Harry is so quick to label people and put
them in a very narrow slot, he'll use those idiots as an example of all
Christianity.

I noticed that several here do as well. That's why I said they're the
taliban of Christianity. But you're right, people look at the
Westboro's and their radical lunacies, and that's how they wish to
brand ALL Christians.

It's really kinda sad that some people wish to be so narrow minded as
to judge all by looking at the antics of a few misaligned and self-
rightous klutzes.

But the funny thing is that Christianity has been mocked for around
2000 years, and it's still standing well. So... I look at it like
this. If people want to curse the good Christians, then that really
doesn't make them any different than the Westboro's does it?

As a percentage of humanity, Christianity is on the rocks and shrinking.

Oh no, and far from it.

I said as a percentage. Take China and Africa muslim and non christian
growth over the last 100 years.

interesting that you should mention China. That's one country where
Christianity is flourishing and growing , not to mention S. Korea.

Smoking too much religious crack? China is only 3 or 4% Christian,
predominantly Buddhist and government is atheist without religious
preference. And in fact, no all seeing eye makes China more separation
between church and state than the USA.

"Today, estimates of Christians range between 40 million and 100
million."

"During this period, house churches boomed in popularity. As the New
York Times correspondent Nicholas Kristof noted, initially popular
among the peasantry, Christianity's reach has extended towards the
cities and the wealthy and intellectual Chinese over the last decade.

The reasons for this boom are twofold. The first is that the Chinese
have found Christianity to be a stabilising belief system amid a
dramatically changing socioeconomic landscape, which had its previous
religious traditions crushed by Maoism and its values questioned after
Tiananmen Square. And, secondly, with its obvious western heritage,
the rise of Christianity may be linked to a subconscious attack on the
norms and values espoused by the PRC – rather like South Korea in the
1980s."

Granted, even 100 mil, is a small percentage considering there's well
over a billion people in China, but it's a long step of growth since
the 70's especially in a country run by a religion supervised

Not at all. Just realize religion is about herd management and power
over the people, and not by god but by fellow man. With so many
starving people, what is so christian about the Vatican hoarding
billions while they hypocritically profess differently for the masses?

Because of religion, so few have all the power, while the rest live as
slaves to serve it. Fact is, just another form of fascism. My god is
better than your god -- and no proof anyone ever met the being.

Isn't to say I am anti-religion, I am not. The herd animal humans need
intellectual guidance through life or the whole world would become
Somalia like. Decay to the animal basics, dog eat dog.

That's a problem, isn't it? So many of many religions claim to consist
of true believers and followers, but what they stand for is hate.

My feeling is that if you are part of the "Values Voters" conference
sponsored by the Family Research Council, you parted ways with
Christianity a long time ago. Those folks hide under the banner of their
religion to spread hate.

I don't see how it is possible to be a social conservative and a
follower of the teachings of Jesus.

You are not going to convince this guy of anything Tim. He hates

Quite the contrary. I think the rise of atheism in the USA coincides
with the economic issues and lack of respect for others. Not enough
philosophy to replace the lack of sense of religion. Good religion
teaches people how to live together in harmony and peace, and for that
to occur you have to honor your debts to other people. But right now,
it is cool to dishonor your debts, Obama-Bernanke with counterfeit the
debt and pay for it mentality. Not much Christian about the sin of
dishonored debts.

But many are sin for six and repent for maybe one day as the Vatican
will absolve your sins for a price.

Most Americans who vote in 2012 for the likes of Obama for example, envy
and greed run their lives. Follow a false messiah like a sheep. The
promise of a free lunch and focus their hate on others, the fact Obama
has any support at all means the moral decay of a huge segment of the
p[population is very real.

"In Debt We Trust!" -- Obama and the fleabagger democrats. Says it
all. Mortgaging your grand kids future for just more debt today. Makes
me wonder how stupid or corrupt Obama really is.

Smoking too much religious crack? China is only 3 or 4% Christian,

preference. And in fact, no all seeing eye makes China more separation

And, secondly, with its obvious western heritage,
the rise of Christianity may be linked to a subconscious attack on the
norms and values espoused by the PRC rather like South Korea in the
1980s."

Granted, even 100 mil, is a small percentage considering there's well
over a billion people in China, but it's a long step of growth since
the 70's especially in a country run by a religion supervised
government

3 to 4% of 1.3 billion people is at most 52 million. And growth claims,
highly questionable.

Fastest growing religion in USA if you include atheists? Atheists. If
you exclude atheists, then it goes to Buddhism. Go figure.

Sort of follows black supremacy claims of being the first minority,
blacks are 3rd if you include Spanish decent.

"Is that sort of behavior "Christian"?"

Well, you tell me....

Just because they say they are............

Well Harry, why don't you tell us all about the teachings of Jesus..
Then tell us about "Jesus on a stick at *Christmas* again, and while
your are googling, go ahead and tell us why Tim *can't* answer your
questions. go ahead, I will wait.

People of intelligence can, with good manners, debate whether
churches/mosques/synagogues are doing good or doing evil. The Christian
bible has been used to do good and to do evil. There are individual
Christians/Moslems/Jews/whatevers who do good and there members of those
religions who do evil, and all of this is done in the name of
their religion.

If you are the sort of ultra conservative who attends Family Research
Council events such as the Values Voters conference and you sit and
listen to a bigoted preacher put down a reasonably decent guy because
his religion is different from yours and you don't protest, then you are
as bigoted as the speaker. I wouldn't vote for Mitt Romney, but I
wouldn't insult him in a public forum on the basis of his personal
religious beliefs. Romney doesn't make an issue of his religion; those
"politicized good Christians" do.

At a more personal level, *you* are the sort of hate-filled bigot who
helps give Christianity a black eye.

Oh, I am sure Tim can, if he wishes, respond to a question as to whether

Christian. Getting up in front of a group of conservative Christians, as
Jeffress did, and casting aspersions on a candidate for the GOP
presidential nomination because he is a "Mormon," and therefore part of
a cult, is not very Christian. One can only imagine what Jeffress would
have said if Romney were Jewish.

Oh, wait...Jesus was Jewish. Well, that presents a problem. :)

Oh, please. I know lots of Christians who follow the teachings of Jesus
who will respond to any sort of sincere question about religion or its
practitioners. One of my college apartment mates for two semesters was
an Episcopal priest working on a master's degree. We argued for hours
about religion. One of my clients is a stalwart Roman Catholic, a
leading Catholic intellectual as a matter of fact. well-known, who will
discuss any aspect of religion in any depth you want.

Dr. Karen Grear of Catholic University of America...

1. Wrong. Besides, you and yours here aren't people - you're trash.

2. I do work, and I earn good money at it. You, on the other hand,
are
unemployable at any job that requires skill.

3. The only time I leave the house with guns is if I am heading to
the
shooting range or to the Shenandoah informal range.

4. No one except the right-wing crazies here wish me ill will.

5. My wife does not post here and never has.

You're intellectual abilities are...underwhelming.

See if you can pick up on the error I left for you. It's a test.

Lemme' see. You haven't worked an honest job since your daddy bailed
your ass out of Vietnam by sending you to the only school in the
country
that would let him buy you in??

That's pretty funny.

Sorry, bozo, but my draft lottery number was never called. That
meant...I wasn't drafted.

And my "ass" and the rest of me were in Vietnam. But not as a soldier.

Where were you? Under the schoolyard grandstand smoking a joint?

ah haaaaa.... Would that be the super secret mission with the super
secret general? Another one of your many lies... Why bring it up here
again, everyone knows you are full of ****...

It wasn't a super secret mission for a super secret general. It was just
a job, a rather distasteful one.

Yes, I would imagine a plate of bull**** wouldn't taste very good...Why
do you keep up with these lies Harry, each and every one you have told
over the years has been debunked.. Like your Wife's three doctorates,
your dads' fireboat welcome to NYC after crossing the Atlantic in a
small skiff, your Yale degree, your bikes, cars, women, jobs,
travels.... So, do tell us what year did you graduate Yale again?? snerk

It isn't reasonable to "mock Christianity," as you put it,
because of
the WBC, but what about the actions of Jeffress, his flock, and
those

behavior
"Christian"?

I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one.

What about 'em?

"Is that sort of behavior "Christian"?"

Well, you tell me....

Just because they say they are............

That's a problem, isn't it? So many of many religions claim to
consist
of true believers and followers, but what they stand for is hate.

My feeling is that if you are part of the "Values Voters" conference
sponsored by the Family Research Council, you parted ways with
Christianity a long time ago. Those folks hide under the banner of
their
religion to spread hate.

I don't see how it is possible to be a social conservative and a
follower of the teachings of Jesus.

Obviously you didn't read your own question, I didn't read the rest of
your spew.... So Harry, tell us "why Tim *can't" answer your
question? [
Is that sort of behavior "Christian"?]

When you can answer that, then we will talk... Until then, you are just
trolling and calling names... Really, the answer to my question is
easy,
for anybody who understands ever the most subtle ideas of
Christianity...

Oh, I am sure Tim can, if he wishes, respond to a question as to whether
a particular bit of ugly behavior in the name of Christianity is
Christian.

No, no he can't, because he *is* a christian. You will never understand,
so I won't bother explaining it to you.. So the rest of your rant, is
just more uninformed bull****..

Uh-huh. Obviously, you have never been exposed to Christians who can think.

Ok stupid.. I will help you out. He "can't" answer because "judgement is
mine, sayeth the Lord". That is why Tim "can't" answer your question..
No go spend some more of your poor wifes money...

I wonder if Dr. Fourchin ever tires of Harry being a sloth.
