Good religion teaches people how to live together in harmony and peace, and for that to occur you have to honor your debts to other people. But right now, it is cool to dishonor your debts, Obama-Bernanke with counterfeit the debt and pay for it mentality. Not much Christian about the sin of dishonored debts. There are individual Christians/Moslems/Jews/whatevers who do good and there members of those religions who do evil, and all of this is done in the name of their religion. If you are the sort of ultra conservative who attends Family Research Council events such as the Values Voters conference and you sit and listen to a bigoted preacher put down a reasonably decent guy because his religion is different from yours and you don't protest, then you are as bigoted as the speaker. I wouldn't vote for Mitt Romney, but I wouldn't insult him in a public forum on the basis of his personal religious beliefs. As the New York Times correspondent Nicholas Kristof noted, initially popular among the peasantry, Christianity's reach has extended towards the cities and the wealthy and intellectual Chinese over the last decade. The reasons for this boom are twofold. The first is that the Chinese have found Christianity to be a stabilising belief system amid a dramatically changing socioeconomic landscape, which had its previous religious traditions crushed by Maoism and its values questioned after Tiananmen Square. And, secondly, with its obvious western heritage, the rise of Christianity may be linked to a subconscious attack on the norms and values espoused by the PRC – rather like South Korea in the 1980s." Granted, even 100 mil, is a small percentage considering there's well over a billion people in China, but it's a long step of growth since the 70's especially in a country run by a religion supervised government 3 to 4% of 1.3 billion people is at most 52 million. And growth claims, highly questionable. Fastest growing religion in USA if you include atheists? Atheists. If you exclude atheists, then it goes to Buddhism. Go figure. Sort of follows black supremacy claims of being the first minority, blacks are 3rd if you include Spanish decent. Just a lot of bull**** to keep whining people happy. But then facts and reality, no fleabaggers want to hear that. Some idiots feelings might be hurt. Chinese government is officially atheist. You need to read better material. Check my stats on CIA Wold Fact Book, ship your voodoo religious sermon sites. You sure are turning out to be one condescending asshole... What happened, some Christian guy steal your girl in High School or something? Not at all. Just realize religion is about herd management and power over the people, and not by god but by fellow man. Kind of like your atheism... With so many starving people, what is so christian about the Vatican hoarding billions while they hypocritically profess differently for the masses? Kind of like Athiests... Because of religion, so few have all the power, while the rest live as slaves to serve it. Fact is, just another form of fascism. My god is better than your god -- and no proof anyone ever met the being. I have proof enough for me, I have seen his work.. Isn't to say I am anti-religion, I am not. The herd animal humans need intellectual guidance through life or the whole world would become Somalia like. Decay to the animal basics, dog eat dog. Kind of like the direction we are heading now... |

Coming from you Dr. Karen Grear of Catholic University of America. You have told more lies here over the years than Obama has in the last 6 months... You are known for only one thing here and that's your lies of grand conquests. Fire boat welcomes that never happened, Yale degrees that were never earned, Doctors degrees that were never earned, boats, cars, and motorcycles, bicycles, property, barns and even photos you never owned... LOL! There he goes again...Scott Ingersoll, the intellectual nitwit who cannot debate any point without bringing up people who don't post here and never have. It must really suck to be at your point in life and to have achieved nothing of substance. You spend your life here trying to do nothing but **** people off and spread your misery of failure to anyone you can. You don't work, you can't leave the house without a gun because you have so many people that want to kill you, and you are talking about me?? LOL... You are a loser Dr. Karen Grear of Catholic University of America... |

You, on the other hand, are unemployable at any job that requires skill. 3. The only time I leave the house with guns is if I am heading to the shooting range or to the Shenandoah informal range. 4. No one except the right-wing crazies here wish me ill will. 5. My wife does not post here and never has. You're intellectual abilities are...underwhelming. -- I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one. |
