I have visited a number of different islands on cruise ships and have always found the experience somewhat dissatisfying, even when I liked the place. The problem is partly scheduling. Typically the cruise ship arrives early morning and departs before sunset. There is no opportunity to enjoy a dinner a shore or appreciate the night life. You are also limited in choice of excursions and have to ensure that you are back at the dock before departure. |
