You'll recall a discussion we had about the garden battery in an (unmentionable here) piece of
equipment. The battery wouldn't hold a charge. You suggested maybe the battery was old. So today I
checked it. July, 2006. Not too bad, but that might help explain why I had to keep hitting it with
the charger.

Put a new one in it (unmentionable here). Set my back all of $22 with a discount. Maybe this one
will last me another five years.

The technology for lead acid batteries hasn't changed in decades.
Basically, anything you get over two years, is a gift....

What kind of cheap batteries do you buy?
We get 5 or 6 years out of original equipment automobile batteries and
I'm still using that old marine battery Tom included with the Yukon.

Learn to read, little buddy, you'll embarrass us! He didn't say that
batteries won't last 5 or so years, he said anything over 2 is good.- Hide quoted text -

Anything over 2 is expected...spoofer!

I'm not the spoofer. Now just WHO told you that "anything over 2 years
is expected?"

Of course you are...you write like a third-grader.

Damned juvenile spoofers. Everyone knows I started my own google group
to get away from insults, so why would I come here do the same? Now tell
me, in the two sentences I wrote prior, what is grammatically wrong with
them?

D'oh. Spelling and grammar are only two aspects of decent writing.
That's something you cowardly and moronic spoofers will never
understand, and why your spoofing doesn't fool anyone with a decent
education and a working brain.

It's too bad you don't have what it takes to post with your own handle.

I hate to admit it, but half the time, I can't remember if I actually
made the post, or if it is one of those moronic spoofers.

You are a spoofer! First of all, education has nothing to do with
intelligence. Secondly, I see that you can't come up with a REAL
answer, eh, spoofer?

Lawn mower and motorcycle batteries typically last two years. If you cut
your grass once in a while you'd know that.

Ewwww! That was low. Totally called for. Maybe he just didn't read the original post while thinking
up an assholish reply.

My batteries that are special made for me last at least 10 years.
