It's not that Americans *won't* make them; it's that the manufacturers here won't pay wages high enough for an American to support himself/herself or a family. Costa Rica is a fairly reasonable place for a developing country. It is democratic, it doesn't waste its resources on a standing army, and all its citizens have access to decent health care at a very reasonable price. It's amazing what can be accomplished in a democratic, progressive country when a huge percentage of national wealth is not wasted on the military. -- Want to discuss recreational boating and fishing in a forum where personal insults are not allowed? http://groups.google.com/group/rec-boating-fishing |
