Microsoft Spam
The spam is a result of posting to the newsgroups using your real e-mail
address. I posted a car for sale on alt.autos yesterday and used my alternate e-mail address. I received 50 spam messages supposedly from Microsoft. I am using a Macintosh G-4 which means Microsoft would have no reason to send me anything. The address shown on this message is my alternate address. I change the number in the address ever month to a different digit in a random order. "Lynn Tegrity" |

You're right, some of it is from newsgroups in addition to the address book mining. |
