No, what I asked was, how would you know whether the price Gould was quoted was good, bad or indifferent? You posted another thousand words, but didn't respond to the question, eh? Ok notwithstanding the currency differences, it seems these days with floating rates the numbers work out about the same, so Chuck's 7000 is what?? 2.5-3 weeks full time work?? & then they want the consumerables ontop of that. As I said I'm not criticising & I'm sure they're doing chuck a deal which includes the followup promotional articles but still 7 all ...... to me it does seem like lots of money. Here anyway the twin diesels can be R&R on a 40ft sport boat in a week at most & yes that does include removing sections of the deck (floor to you). I was able to educate the OMC dealers as to how their own engines actually worked to control idle speed?? The OMC dealers? Who and how many? At least two & they both proved themselves to be nothing but NG spammers when they ran away during the Ficht induced OMC bankruptcy. You mean one of the two that posted here? And how do you know they weren't just stringing you along? Many of us do. Well it took the second to bring his tech teacher along to the group, only to have the teacher read what I'd been telling them for years & say "exactly right Karen". The teacher left not long after knowing what an embarrassing simpleton he had in his class. I was able to warn the group that a few of the them were lying about their knowledge, so called training & their BS about dealer markups. Took a while but was finally proven correct on all grounds. No, you weren't. Yes I was :-) I was able to well in advance predict Ficht & to a lesser extent Optimax wouldn't work Both FICHT and OPTIMAX seem to be working. I didn't follow the FICHT wars closely, but I encountered few Opti owners with problems. Certainly no higher a percentage than Yamaha had with its evolutionary two stroke outboards. Well there ya go, you not being nor ever having been a boating person, you just have no clue. In case you missed it Ficht bankrupted a US icon Co, chucked 7000 mostly innocent people out of work & lost US$1.3 Billion of retirees' money. Opti is all but finished as Merc will be 4 stroke as soon as they can. Bomb bought the OMC carcass for pin money & even then dumped it, why?? because they now know they got conned also & lean at power cannot work, has been tried by the big engine builders & dropped. You really are sad the biggest recreational spending boom in history, OMC goes feet up & Merc only just survives & you say nothing happened??? You sad dangerous liar. & gave detailed reasons why, even though the lying dealers & you were screaming your heads off to the contrary. Took a long while but was finally proven correct on all grounds. Bull. Bull? that's it?? that's the reasoned rejoinder?? you have no education at all you liar all you've ever done here & in other groups is lie, start trouble & paste articles you steal from elsewhere. I was able to show that another of your lying mates who claimed to be a marine diesel engineer didn't even have the faintest clue as to how a marine diesel operates, Actually, he slammed you to the mat so many times and so hard, I was amazed you came back in here, if we are talking about the same fellow. Wakey wakey even Eisboch went to his diesel bloke & confirmed I was right!!! You are so illiterate you can't even follow the technical threads. But my greatest service to the group thus far is to alert people that you are a liar who does not own a boat & never has, Uh-huh. Well at least that's an admission, I will post more examples as & when I feel like it I especially love the lies you made up about your family, you must be the most embarrassing thing to know let alone be related to. Got credentials? Didn't think so. None of your business: it never has been & never will be, as I said I'm happy to stand on my NG history. K * * * email sent to will *never* get to me. |
