How many million folks were listening, she may have been a bit nervous with the folks sitting there watching? How good was her monitor (remember, she is singing acapella which in that situation means, you don't hear anything)? It's not an easy song, especially to sing it under those circumstances can challenge even the greatest voices in the world, and indeed it has, many more times than you obviously remember. I have nothing for Christina, good voice, still just another "if I pull my skirt over my head, will you buy my records" female "rockstar".. Certainly not the soul maven she would wish to emulate. But at the same time, she has a decent voice and I am pretty sure she came into this gig with all of the focus and good intent you would expect from any professional... Get off her back, or go sing the anthem somewhere sometime, acapella, with headphones on playing something else, in front of everybody in the world you count of to make a living, friends family, peers, the President of the USA!!!... Then come and talk to me..... Just sayin' I have worked "acapella" and solo on stage in a quiet atmosphere, and it ain't easy... That's just it...I CAN sing the Anthem "acapella".Two years of Barbersop Singing, and 30+years of Band work.. Barbershop is ALL acapella. She no doubt would have had an in-ear monitor. "This land is your land" no longer is applicable, since the corporations now own about everything mentioned. Perhaps, this is more to your taste, Komrad Krause? ?????? ????, ?????, ? ??? ? ???? ???? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yDrtNEr_5M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91kdw...layer_embedded I almost responded with an 'LOL', but the truth is not something to laugh at. That's the first time I've ever read the lyrics. I can see why our local liberals would love socialism. 'Course, it didn't last 'forever'. |

I'm simply not impressed by your superficial, odious, fake patriotism. Fake, because your racism is your defining characteristic. |

Perhaps they've never heard it sung properly. Here, the way it *can* be sung. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ETrr-XHBjE If it was good enough for Clinton, it's good enough for me! THAT would make a GREAT nation anthem go he http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/ and choose the one by katherine jenkins. The way things are going in this country, that old song "16 Tons" seems more appropriate. We have no one but the "educators" to blame. You have to blame someone, anyone other than yourself. Bertie-Birther blaming educators for anything is hilarious. He didn't have "the right stuff" to even succeed at a community college, and went into the marinea, an outfit not known for seeking those with intellectual prowess. I made a pile of money today. |
